1: What kind of fishing is the Striker for?
The Striker has been designed as a general purpose lure for trolling. Since the strikeback action is often lacking or late in trolling, the Striker takes care of that for you and hooks the fish more securely. You can also cast with the Striker but it can accidentally be triggered if it hits the water hard enough. Note that the striker still works even though the hook has been released.
2: How do I set the Striker up?
Arm the Striker with dry hands, grippy gloves or a multitool. With your left hand, grab the lure firmly from the center of the body. Next take your right hand and grab the shaft on the back with and pull it to the end as far as it will go. Finally, turn the bottom of the shaft slightly forward to the nose of the lure to lock the mechanism. Be aware that the spring tension increases when pulling it back, so a firm grip and caution is needed. For further assistance arming the lure please refer to our instruction video at: https://youtu.be/dJ485-hgxQo
3: What kind of maintenance is required?
Rinse the Striker in freshwater and dry properly after fishing, hanging the lure nose side up to air out the spring chamber and mechanism. Gently remove possible debris from the mechanism with a small stick and remember to release the spring to ensure longer operation and maintain responsiveness of the spring.
4: Can I change the spring?
The Striker has been ultrasonically welded together so it is completely sealed. It is not possible to change parts.
